This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit our website at oceanview-partners.com (the "Site"), interact with us through our contact forms and communications, or register for our Talent Database portal at portal.oceanview-partners.com (the "Talent Database").
We collect information you voluntarily submit when you use our Site or services, including:
Contact Form & Consultation Requests: Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, area of interest, and the content of your inquiry.
Whitepaper Downloads: Name, email address, company name, and job title when you request access to our thought leadership materials.
Talent Database Registration: When you create an account or submit your profile to our Talent Database portal, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, current and prior employer information, job title, professional qualifications, areas of expertise, employment history, compensation expectations, geographic preferences, availability status, LinkedIn profile URL, and any additional information you choose to include in your professional profile or resume/CV.
When you visit our Site, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time and date of your visit, and general geographic location derived from your IP address.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Contact Form & Whitepaper Submissions: To respond to your inquiries, provide requested materials, deliver our consulting services, and communicate with you about our offerings.
Talent Database: To match qualified professionals with opportunities at our clients and partner organizations in the financial services and market data sectors; to contact you about roles that align with your profile, qualifications, and stated preferences; to share your professional profile with prospective employers or client firms who have engaged Oceanview Partners for talent identification or recruiting support; and to maintain a current database of industry professionals for present and future opportunities.
Site Operations: To analyze website usage and improve the Site's performance, security, and user experience.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
By registering for and submitting your professional profile to the Oceanview Partners Talent Database, you acknowledge and consent to the following:
Sharing with Clients and Partners: Your professional profile information — including your name, contact details, employment history, qualifications, and other profile data you have provided — may be shared with Oceanview Partners' clients, prospective employers, and partner organizations in the financial services industry for the purpose of evaluating your candidacy for professional opportunities. We will use reasonable efforts to share your information only with reputable organizations and only in connection with legitimate talent identification and recruiting activities.
No Guarantee of Placement: Registration in the Talent Database does not constitute an offer of employment or guarantee of placement. Oceanview Partners acts as an intermediary connecting qualified professionals with opportunities and does not make hiring decisions on behalf of its clients.
Profile Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring that the information in your Talent Database profile is accurate and current. You may update or correct your profile at any time by logging into the portal or contacting us directly.
Withdrawal of Consent: You may request removal of your profile from the Talent Database at any time by contacting us at info@oceanview-partners.com or by using any unsubscribe or deletion mechanism provided within the portal. Upon receiving such a request, we will remove your profile from active circulation within 30 days, although residual copies may persist in backup systems for a limited period. Please note that removal does not affect any information previously shared with clients prior to your request.
We use the following third-party service providers in the operation of our Site and services:
Resend: Email delivery service for contact form notifications, whitepaper delivery, and automated communications.
Hostway (TWC Hosting): Website and server hosting.
Microsoft 365: Business email and communications infrastructure.
These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only process it for the purposes we specify. We do not share personal information with any third-party service providers for their own independent use.
Contact Form & Whitepaper Submissions: We retain contact form submissions and associated personal data for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain our business relationship, unless you request earlier deletion.
Talent Database Profiles: Your profile remains active in the Talent Database until you request its removal. We may periodically contact you to confirm that your information is current and that you wish to remain in the database. Inactive profiles (no login or update for 24 months) may be archived or deleted at our discretion after providing you with notice.
If you request deletion of any personal data we hold, we will comply within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations requiring longer retention.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted through our Site, server-side storage of API credentials and sensitive configuration data, CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) protection on all forms, honeypot spam filtering to prevent unauthorized submissions, access controls limiting personnel access to personal data, and secure password hashing for Talent Database portal accounts.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
Opt-Out: Opt out of receiving communications from us at any time by following unsubscribe instructions or contacting us directly.
